Saturday saw the first club competition of the year; it was the Novice (& Experienced) Portsmouth! and was a great introduction to competition format & timed shooting for club members, most of whom had never shot in formal competition before. It was a Portsmouth round (60 arrows @ 20 yards) with 2 minutes for 3 arrows (it’s loads of time!), buzzers, double detail, formal scoring – we even had a proper bouncer from the Lord Paramount!
